I slept late on the morning of September 1lth, 2001 having been up late with an international client the night before.

When I logged my email at about 11 in the morning, there was an email from Coffee Cup Software. That is how I found out about the attacks. From Coffee Cup Software. (Nothing against Coffee Cup Software, they are great, I am just saying what an odd way to get your news). I turned on CNN and that is where I stayed for the rest of the day.

My daughter was 11 at the time. I think it was the first time she recognized the reality that evil exists in this world. Dinner conversation that night was somber. The kids were looking for an explanation. There wasn't much of an explanation to give.

The business phone did not ring for 2 solid weeks after that day. Now, 13 years later, the anniversary is a thought in passing for most, but for others I am sure it is a much harder day
